Comfort Food

Usually it's tea and apple crisp! Go figure. That is soooo comforting on a cold day. I sit by the picture window, feet up on the coffee table and sip tea, enjoy warm apple crisp and read a novel. Or I listen to a Van Morrison album. I also get comfort from my kids. It's nice to call, hear them pick up the phone and hear that familiar voice. With Jennifer, it's usually upbeat with lots of noise of her boys in the background shouting about who's turn it is to play Batman. With Neil, it's usually laid back with long drawn out one-syllable answers like, "heyyyyy" "yeahhhhh" and "cooooooool" Either way, it's all good. In reality, I guess my kids are really my comfort food. And for that I say Thanks Terry.
