Not a good place for kids

It's okay I think when people go out to protest when they believe something is wrong. That's how it was in Sudbury this week when a group of people were outside city hall protesting the provincial lockdown rules. Sounds good right? Yeah except that one family brought young children to the event. I don't think this is the sort of place to include children. Especially when all the adults were walking around with masks ... maybe exposing kids to the virus.  I have been to a lot of protests. Things can go wrong. Kids Children should not be there.

My hip

I walked... or limped ... into the office this morning in one hell of a grumpy mood. My left hip was sore again. I said it was going to rain. I was right. I had no idea what the forecast was, but I can tell when a rainstorm is coming. It has to be some form of arthritis and so I was indeed sore.  It is evening now and it is raining.

Two aspirins later and I was fine, but my hip has been tender all day. I figured I would write it about it because I have not written a damned thing here on this blog so far this month. I think I could write a book about some many things, but with the pandemic, I get lazy.

I come home, think about supper, get bored with that and then carry on with a cup of tea and some cookies. I have hardly touched my cache of whiskey, but I have had a few nice sips of Johnny Walker Black and some Chivas Regal. I really think I am more partial to the blended whiskies than I am to the single malts.

I have to report that I visited Jennifer on the weekend and it was nice just to sit down and get caught up on things. She is well, but she is missing her hairstylist. Jenn always looks great but admitted she has been busy finding and plucking a few grey hairs.

Some really great news is that Victoria is soon coming back home to Northern Ontario. She has landed a job at the hospital and should be starting soon. Just as good news is that her boyfriend Alex is also coming to work and live in Sudbury. Family gatherings are just going to be better than ever.

In the meantime, I will struggle with this stupid sore hip. I might going sniffing around the dumpsters at the hospital to see if they're throwing out any old hips...
