A legend ...
Being an aviation buff, I was saddened to learn of the death of Chuck Yeager this week. He was indeed a legend and in 1947 was the first human to fly through the sound barrier. This was at a time when people didn't know what would happen to anything moving that fast. It was an amazing time in aviation history when people were flying faster and higher than ever before. He was a test pilot at a time when people were learning for the first time just how wild and crazy flying could be. Yeager was also a WW2 ace and in one case, shot down five enemy planes in one day! By the way, Glennis was Yeager's wife.
