Well this has sure been a good day. Or perhaps it has been a good 24 hours when I think that it was around 10 p.m. Tuesday that we got the first good news of the political upheaval in the U.S.
I was more than amazed at the Democrat landslide in the U.S. midterm elections. My faith in American citizens has been restored. I knew there would be an eventual backlask against but I never guessed it would be so wild.
Also, I began today with a cup of tea of enjoying one of the new muffins I bought at Costco on Tuesday. The cranberry-orange-buttermilk muffins there are huge and delicious. Buy some!
Later in the morning, Jennifer texted me with an invite for a coffee. So we had lunch at Twiggs which was so nice. We both had the roasted red pepper soup. Delicious. Jenn and I go there a lot. It's a nice place with great food.
It was great to get up to date on all the family news which left me thankful for all the blessings we have. And then I was watching the news a while ago and was pleased to see Pope Leo had a meeting with my favourite Nobel prize winner, Bob Dylan. What a day!
